URGENT SCAM ALERT -TELSTRA BIGPOND CUSTOMERS.
I just received a call from someone advising they where from Telstra, telling me that my computer had contracted virus’s through the internet.
I questioned them in my usually tactful way trying to trip them up and I did. Also when they wanted to gain remote access to my computer through ‘showmypc.com’ (below)my alarm bells turned into church bells. Never had to do that before with Telstra.
So I then shared some of my advise with the operator which was rather descriptive as I am still not feeling well and was very annoyed that someone was trying to steal from me! I then said my goodbye!
Call ended and i confirmed that this was a hoax by call Tech help at Telstra/ Bigpond
Warn the elderly and those that may not see throw these cunning dirtbags!
