ALERT!
People with Verizon cell service are getting calls from a 1-800 number (1-800-922-5555 to be specific, but there could be others), telling you to go to a website, (www.mybonus130.com) log on, and you will get $130.00 off your next Verizon bill.
IF you go to that web site www.mybonus130.com, it looks authentic. BUT, it is not real Verizon site! DO NOT sign into your account….the copyright is 2012 on the web page, and when you go to the regular verizon website they have a 2013 copyright.
It is someone wanting your information.
If you actually go to Verizon.com or verizonwireless.com, they are DIFFERENT. They, the scam, is after your logon, passwords, account info, etc…)
If they get it, they can do all sorts of not-so-fun things with your Verizon account and perhaps access your bank account if you use a direct bill-pay service.
I confirmed this yesterday with Verizon. Verizon is NOT offering this promotion. be aware Verizone is NOT doing this.This is a scam, do NOT fall for it.
I reported it to Verizon If it sounds to good to be true it isn’t.
