This seems like a new scam – at least I haven’t encountered this before.
About half an hour ago I received a “confirmation of itinerary and e=ticket” from American Airlines. The journey would take two people (named but not me)
from Columbia to Las vegas via Dallas and back this coming weekend. It all looks very authentic so I suppose the hook is to get the outraged recipient to
respond to say it’s all a mistake. I won’t be responding.
I had to call airline (on hold almost 40 min) and contacted all my credit cards to make sure i hadn’t had my id or card stolen. Nice jolt to wake me up for sure.
